Bruce Peninsula Hospice has launched a client transportation program offering free, wheelchair-accessible rides to people it supports.
According to the hospice, the program provides transportation from Tobermory to Wiarton and throughout the Bruce Peninsula, with trips to Owen Sound for medical appointments. Clients can use it to get to medical appointments, treatments, community activities and other outings.
The hospice says the service uses a wheelchair-accessible 2026 Chrysler Grand Caravan, and that the program is meant to reduce transportation barriers so clients can stay independent and connected to their community.
The service is for people receiving support from the hospice. Details are on the Bruce Peninsula Hospice website.
