Then & Now
An old photograph of a Chatsworth-area spot beside a new one taken from the same place.
Every second Wednesday, we'll set an old photograph of a street, a mill, a church or a crossroads in or near the township beside a photo taken from the same spot today, and tell you what changed.
We use only archive images that are in the public domain or that we have permission to publish, and we credit the archive every time. Current photos are our own, a reader's (with permission) or openly licensed and credited.
Got an old photo of the township?
Family albums and postcards are where the best old pictures hide. Tell us what you have and where it was taken. We'll ask before we use it, and credit you.
