Kids' Corner
Honour rolls, science fairs and a monthly drawing and writing contest for Chatsworth kids.
Kids' Corner is the young people's page of Schools & Youth. We'll publish honour rolls, science fair results and awards as the schools and school boards release them, and run a drawing and writing contest every month, opening the first Monday of the month.
We name children only with a parent's or guardian's consent, and then by first name and age only. We never publish a child's last name, school, address, birthdate or a photo of the child's face.
The monthly contest
On the first Monday of each month we announce a theme. Kids aged 5 to 13 can send a drawing or a short piece of writing on it. A parent or guardian enters for them. We publish a selection of entries with the child's first name and age only: no last name, school, address or photo of the child's face. It's free, and there are no prizes. Read the rules and the entry form.
The first contest opens Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. November's theme is “My favourite place in Chatsworth.” Entries close Monday, Nov. 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
