Kids' Corner contest
A free drawing and writing contest for kids in and around the township, every month.
The first contest opens Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. November's theme is “My favourite place in Chatsworth.” Entries close Monday, Nov. 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. After November, we announce each month's theme on the first Monday of the month in Kids' Corner.
The rules
- Open to kids aged 5 to 13 who live in or near the Township of Chatsworth. It's free.
- A parent or legal guardian must enter for the child, give their own name and email, and tick the consent box. No consent, no entry.
- One entry per child per month: a drawing, or a story or poem of up to about 300 words.
- Entries close on the last day of the month at 11:59 p.m. For the first contest, that's Monday, Nov. 30, 2026.
- The work must be the child's own. A grown-up can help with typing or taking the photo.
- We print the child's first name and age only: no last name, school, address or photo of the child's face. We never publish a birthdate.
- The Banner picks which entries to publish. Every child who enters is thanked.
- There are no prizes.
- A parent or guardian can ask us to take an entry down at any time.

Fill in the form below. For a drawing, also email a photo or scan to news@chatsworthbanner.ca with “Kids' Corner” and your child's first name in the subject line. Our free form can't take attachments.
