Ripley-Huron and Lucknow fire departments recruiting volunteer firefighters
The Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Lucknow & District Fire Department are recruiting volunteer firefighters. Applications close Nov. 27, and open houses are set for Nov. 10 and 11.

The Ripley-Huron Fire Department and Lucknow & District Fire Department are looking for volunteer firefighters, the Township of Huron-Kinloss says.
No firefighting experience is needed, and successful applicants receive training and ongoing support, according to the township. Applications close Nov. 27.
The departments are holding recruitment open houses where people can meet the fire chief and volunteer firefighters and ask questions:
- Lucknow & District Fire Department: Tuesday, Nov. 10, 6 to 7:30 p.m., 725 Campbell St., Lucknow
- Ripley-Huron Fire Department: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 6 to 7:30 p.m., 74 Huron St., Ripley
The township says spouses are encouraged to attend.
