Updated Oct. 22, 2026, 4 p.m.: The township has posted an updated OCWA notice dated Oct. 27. Its dates, streets, guidance and contact numbers match this story; the guidance and phone numbers are now sourced to that notice.
The Township of Chatsworth says water service will be disrupted on Crawford Street, John Street and Loucks Lane on Tuesday, Oct. 27, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
According to the township, operators will be exercising valves to isolate sections of the water mains to allow for gate valve repair and a fire hydrant replacement on Loucks Lane. The notice was issued with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA), which operates the municipal drinking water system.
Residents in the affected areas may experience low or no water pressure and temporary discolouration of their water, the notice says.
If your water is discoloured, the updated Oct. 27 OCWA notice advises running cold water from all faucets for four to five minutes, and avoiding hot water and laundry until the water runs clear.
