A $40-million LOTTO MAX jackpot bought somewhere in Grey County expires today, Wednesday, Oct. 28, unless the rightful ticket holder comes forward to OLG, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says.
The winning ticket, from the Oct. 28, 2025 LOTTO MAX draw, was bought at an authorized lottery retailer in Grey County, according to an OLG release. OLG has not said which store or community sold it. Its unclaimed tickets list gives the location only as "Rural Toronto West."
The winning numbers are 06, 14, 17, 19, 26, 43 and 45, with Bonus Number 27.
OLG says the winner may not be local. "As Grey County is a popular destination for tourists and cottagers, someone visiting the area may have purchased the ticket and forgotten to check it after returning home," the release says.
OLG says it has very detailed information about the winning ticket but doesn't know who bought it, because it was bought at a retailer. As with all prize claims, it says a review process will determine who rightfully owns the ticket.
How to check and claim
Anyone who thinks they bought the ticket can start a claim on the OLG.ca Unclaimed Tickets page or call OLG at 1-800-387-0098.
Tickets can be checked with the OLG App, an OLG self-checker in store, or the lottery terminal at any authorized retailer. OLG suggests checking clothing pockets, bags and wallets, vehicle glove compartments and sun visors, and kitchen, bedroom or office drawers.
If the ticket expires, OLG says the $40 million will be returned to players through future bonus games or promotions.
