Household hazardous waste days
The municipality's 2026 Household Hazardous Waste Days calendar lists the remaining 2026 dates at the Osprey site (493926 Road 49), 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:
- Saturday, Oct. 24
- Saturday, Nov. 14
- Saturday, Nov. 28
The municipality's web page lists different dates in one place, so check with enviro@greyhighlands.ca before you go.
Bring ID as proof that you live in Grey Highlands, and fill out the HazBin resident form. The municipality also says the City of Owen Sound's hazardous waste program is free for Grey Highlands residents in 2026.
Re-Use Centres
All three sites have a Re-Use Centre, where residents can take items home free of charge. You fill out a waiver, and items are "as is." The centres close an hour before the site closes. They take things like small furniture, sporting goods, toys, books and media, housewares, bicycles and non-electric tools. They don't take couches, mattresses, electrical appliances, clothing, linens, car parts or infant equipment.
