A 21-year-old from Chatsworth has been charged with stunt driving after a traffic stop north of Mildmay overnight, South Bruce OPP said in a social media post early Saturday.
Police said an officer stopped the vehicle on Bruce Road 3 north of Mildmay for travelling more than 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The driver was charged with stunt driving, using a plate not authorized for the vehicle, driving with a speed-measuring warning device (a radar detector) and having no insurance, according to the OPP.
Police said the vehicle was impounded for 14 days and the driver's licence was suspended for 30 days. The plates and the radar detector were seized.
None of the charges has been proven in court.
