Grey County is looking for residents to serve on its Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee for the next term of council, 2027 to 2030.
The committee advises county council on making municipal services and facilities accessible to everyone, according to the county's call for applications. That includes reviewing the county's multi-year accessibility plan and reports, how it meets provincial accessibility standards, and site plans for projects chosen by council.
The committee has up to nine voting members, including one county councillor, and most members must identify as having a disability, the county says. It meets four to six times a year during regular business hours, usually on Zoom and for less than two hours.
Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2026, according to the notice. They're available online at grey.ca/government/accessibility or from the Clerk's Office at the county administration building, 595 9th Ave. E., Owen Sound. Questions go to the county's accessibility and contract specialist at 519-370-0159 or accessibility@grey.ca.
